Bex, the Teacher & Choreographer
Bex Robinson has been passionately teaching since the age of ten—assisting choreographers and traveling the country sharing her artistic movement, while constantly bettering herself as teacher by always remaining a student. Bex strives to teach students of all ages to be themselves and accept their individuality. Her motto: “You’re a human first, an artist second, and a dancer third…that order never changes.”
She has taught at notable studios including Broadway Dance Center, Peridance, BrickHouse, Culture Shock SD, Modega, and BASE Dance Studio. Bex is also a proud alumni of the BDC Professional Semester, Pulse Protégé Program, Bo Park’s Semicolon, and Sorah Yang’s Artful Balance of Business and Dance.
After years in the industry as a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer, Bex created her own program “IM-PROOF:” A creative-experiment intensive that is dedicated to unlocking a young artist's potential and focusing on the un-learning process through improvisation. She teaches weekly at studios in New York and New Jersey, travels with DEViATE Dance Convention, and has an in-house residency at 25 North Dance. Additionally, Bex recently received an opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Saudi Arabia and teach a two month after school program with Spears Academy and the ministry of culture.
Bex is an incredible example of celebrating the joy of dance and finding one’s authentic artistic voice. She is constantly inspiring her students to find their superpower in class, on stage, and on the dance floor.
